The nearest station is the HarbourFront Station on the North East Line (NEL). If you want to go to the airport, take the North train from HarbourFront and transfer at Outram Stations from the NEL to the East West Line (EWL). You will reach the destination at approximately 40-50 minutes.

Ferry ticket prices vary by route and destination. The ticket prices may also be influenced by travel class (economy or business), ferry schedule, and ongoing promotions or discounts. Plan your trip in advance and check for any available ferry promo codes that may add value to your journey.

Visa Information while Travelling

Foreigners must go through the immigration process upon arrival in Singapore and meet these basic requirements. To ensure a seamless boarding experience, please have all your documents ready before you arrive at the ferry terminal.

• A minimum of 6 months' Valid Passport
• Sufficient funds to stay in Singapore
• Arrival and return tickets
• Provide the SG Arrival card with an electronic health declaration within 72 hours before departure.

Batam and Bintan Travel and VISA Information

1. Visa Exemption: Singaporeans do not require a visa to travel from Singapore to Batam. For a maximum of 30 days, visitors from Singapore and eight other ASEAN nations are permitted entry into Batam without a visa.
2. Visa on Arrival (VoA): Available for select countries, this visa is obtained upon arrival in Indonesia, typically granting a 30-day stay with a one-time extension for an additional 30 days.
3. Social/Cultural Visit Visa: Ideal for those visiting Indonesia for social, cultural, or educational purposes, requiring an invitation letter from an Indonesian sponsor.
4. Business Visa: Designed for business-related visits, this visa does not permit employment in Indonesia but facilitates business meetings and conferences.
5. Tourist Visa: A standard visa for tourists who don't qualify for visa exemption or VoA, or wish to extend their stay beyond the permitted period.

Required Documents for Batam and Bintan Travel  

• A valid passport (with at least 6 months of validity).
• Full vaccination as per government guidelines. 
• Digital Arrival Card. 
• Register on the PeduliLindungi app and complete the Traveller Health Quarantine Application Form before arrival at the Batam ferry terminal.
• One-way or return ticket for onward travel to any other country.
• Travellers must carry a valid ferry ticket for travel, including infants. 

Passengers travelling from Singapore to Indonesia via Sindo Ferry must apply for a Digital Arrival Card (DAC)

• The Indonesian Government has launched the All Indonesia Portal and app to streamline the arrival process for international passengers. 

• It speeds up the immigration process, reduces wait time, and ensures all passengers comply with the rules. 

• DAC enhances security and compliance. 

Things to Note Before Applying DAC

• The application process is FREE. 

• Effective October 1, 2025, all passengers travelling from Singapore to Indonesia must have a Digital Arrival Card. 

• DAC is a consolidated document for international passengers that covers immigration, customs and health declarations. 

• Fill out the Personal Information section and health-related information. 

• Enter the information about the items you carry for customs declaration purposes. 

• You must complete the form 72 hours before arrival in Indonesia. 

• DAC is not equivalent to Visa. Nations that still require a Visa to enter Indonesia must apply for a Visa on Arrival or an e-Visa.

Luggage Allowance Information

Baggage allowance varies among ferry operators, typically allowing passengers one carry-on and one personal item.

• Check-in Baggage: All passengers are entitled to a 20kg check-in baggage allowance. If exceeded, a charge of S$1 per kg applies, but only within the 30 kg limit.
• Carry-on baggage: Limited to a maximum of 10 kg per person.
• Hand Baggage: Passengers may carry a handbaggage (55cm x 40cm x 20cm) weighing up to 10kg.
• Oversized Items: Items exceeding 1.5m or 100cm x 60cm x 30cm (e.g., surfboards, wakeboards, bicycles) incur a SGD10 surcharge. Check them in 30 minutes prior to departure on Terminal Level 2.
• Cargo and Commercial Items: These, along with inadequately packed items, are not accepted at the counter.
• Prohibited Items: Dangerous goods, illegal substances, and specific food items are not permitted; refer to your ferry operator for a detailed list.
• Extra Charges: Additional or oversized baggage may incur extra charges; it's advisable to confirm these details in advance.

• Seat Availability:Please note that seat availability is contingent upon availability and is on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's advisable to book your ferry tickets in advance.
• Time Zone Awareness: Singapore (GMT+8) is one hour ahead of Batam and Bintan (GMT+7).
• Accessibility Amenities: It accommodates strollers and wheelchairs for passenger convenience.

• In case of bad weather conditions, the ferry operator may postpone or reschedule the trip according to the marine department’s regulations.
• Cancellation done 24 hours or before the travel duration; no cancellation charges are applicable.
• If tickets are cancelled 3 hours or more before the scheduled departure, a 60% cancellation charge applies.
