About Rainforest Wild Asia

It is Asia’s first wildlife adventure park, home to 36 species of animals, where they roam freely. Mandai Wildlife Group manages it along with the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Bird Paradise and River Wonders.

How to Get to Rainforest Wild Asia

By Shuttle 

The Mandai Khatib Bus services arrive every 15 minutes during the operating hours and 20 minutes between 11:00 pm and 12:00 am. Shuttle services are available from Khatib MRT Station (NS14) and can be reached in 20 minutes. 

By Bus 

The Mandai City Express offers bus services from Thursday to Sunday. The pickup points are available around the city. 

By Rail

Take the train to any of the MRT Stations and hop on to the connecting buses that take you to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

Rainforest Wild Asia

There are 15 activities to explore and enjoy in Rainforest Wild Asia. These are: 

AIA Vitality Bounce

Bounce up to 3-7 metres above ground level. Become a part of this ultimate experience within the lush canopy and become a true treetop adventurer. Please ensure you bring sports attire and shoes, as they are mandatory. Individuals with pre-existing health conditions are not allowed. 

  • Location: Watering Hole

  • Timing: 10:00 am -06:00 pm (Daily) 

  • Height requirement: Minimum 0.9 metres. An adult must accompany children below 1.35 metres.

  • Weight requirement: Maximum - 120 kg

Canopy Jump 

Jump from a 13 or 20-metre platform and dive into the exhilarating free fall before gliding into a safe descent. The adventure seeker must be able to fit securely into the harness provided. Mandatory sports attire and sports shoes are required.

Please note that you must not have any pre-existing health conditions. Must be able to climb or descend without any assistance. 

  • Location: Rock Cascade (near Sentinel Foodhall) 

  • Timing: 10:00 am -06:00 pm (Daily) 

  • Height: Minimum - 1.35 metres and maximum - 2.1 metres.

Cavern Ranger Talk 

Explore the 220 metre tunnel inspired by the Mulu Caves and learn about the Cave Racers, Scorpions and others.

Elevated Walkway

Explore the entire Rainforest on the elevated walkway to spot animals in their natural habitat. It provides universal access for families with strollers, wheelchairs and elderly people. 

Flexible Habitat Range

Join the session to understand the habitat design from the rangers and how it features different species of animals in the same habitat at other times of the day.

Forest Treks

Trek into the deeper rainforest and navigate through the boulder crossings, log bridges,  suspended walkways, explore the tunnels, caves, bubbling springs and watch the langur habitat. 

François' Langur and Deer Ranger Talk

Observe the François' langurs living on the limestone karst habitat. Follow the rangers as they guide you to spot different species of animals found on the forest floor.

Langurs and Siamoang Ranger Talk 

Listen to the calls of the Siamangs as they swing in the trees. Spot the colourful red-shanked docs and learn about their diet from the ranger.

Malayan Sun Beat Ranger Talk 

Watch the Malayan sun bears as they climb the tree using their long claws and powerful limbs to eat honey and fruits.

Learn about the Malayan Tiger diet, understand their day-to-day activities, etc, at the ranger talk.

Southern River Terrapin Ranger Talk

The ranger introduces the guest to the concept of Mandai Rainforest Wild Asia. Discover the role Mandai plays in the conservation of the critically endangered Southern River Terrapins.

Wild Apex Adventure 

Set off on the adventure with stunning rainforest views and take a chance to spot playful langurs. A perfect place for adventure lovers to climb, hike and cross thrilling elements like ladders and suspended bridges. Finally, end with the breathtaking views from the Karsts.

  • Location: The Karsts

  • Timing: 09:00 am - 04:30 pm (Every 30 minutes, last climb at 04:00 pm ) (Daily) 

  • Height:  Minimum 1.35 Metres and maximum 2.1 metres

  • Weight: Minimum 20 kg and maximum of 120 kg.

  • The individuals must be able to climb and descend ladders and walk on uneven terrain without any assistance. 

  • Able to fit securely into the harness 

  • The individual signing for the adventure must not have any pre-existing health or medical conditions. 

  • Must not be influenced by any substance like drugs or alcohol. 

Wild Cavern Adventure 

Climb the rock formation, ladders and then cross the cable line by abseiling down the walls of the cave. Don’t forget to bring the headlamps to illuminate your path in the darkness. No experience is required, as training will be given on how to clip your safety line and abseil before the activity.

  • Timing: 9:30 am, 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm & 2:30 pm (Daily) 

  • Duration: 3 hours 

  • Height: Minimum 1.35 metres and maximum 2.1 metres. 

  • Weight: Minimum weight 20 kg and maximum 120 kg, and able to pass a 45 cm wide passage.

  • Individuals must not be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. 

  • They must be able to climb and descend ladders and walk on uneven terrain without any assistance. 

  • Participants must not be phobic of dark and enclosed spaces. 

  • Must not have any heart condition, low or high pressure, history of neck, back, knee or ankle injuries or other physical ailment.

Rainforest Wild Asia Itinerary 

Morning

  • 09:00 am (Entrance Gorge and Entrance Pond)

 The entrance starts from the Gorge, where the waterfall welcomes you. Enjoy the serene habitat of the Asian arowana and Southern River Terrapin at the Entrance Pond. 

  • 09:15 am (Log Crossing Trek) 

Get off the beaten path by heading to the Log Crossing Trek, where you can cross the rocks and fallen logs that lie over the flowing stream. 

  • 09:30 am (Karst Loop Trek) 

Take the Karst Loop Trek, where you can spot the Francois langurs on the island. Attend the Ranger Talk, happening daily at 9:45 am at the Karsts, to learn more about the Francois Langurs from the Keepers. 

  • 10:00 am (Rangers Cafe, Forest Floor and Forest Floor Trek) 

Head to the Ranger Cafe to grab a bite. Attend the Ranger Talk at 10:15 am to learn about tortoises and various deer species on the Forest Floor with friendly keepers. Get up close to the animals by heading to the Forest Floor Trek, where you can encounter a prowling Malayan tiger. 

  • 10:45 am (Rock Cascade)

Spot the Babirusas and Red dholes at the Rock Cascade and head to the Tiger Waterfall for the Ranger Talk happening daily at 11:00 am.

  • 11:15 am (The Canopy) 

Watch langurs and deer thrive in the Canopy. Head to the Langur Walking Nets as you spot the Philippine spotted deer below. 

  • 12:00 pm (Sentinel Foodhall)

Enjoy the iconic Southeast Asian dishes while visiting the exhibit at the Sentinel Foodhall. 

  • 01:00 pm (Canopy Jump) 

Step off for the adventure at the towering 13 m or 20 m platform at Canopy Jump. 

  • 01:30 pm (Upper Stream Trek) 

Visit the Upper Stream Trek to observe the Malayan sun bears. Continue on the Lower Stream Trek, navigating bridges and fallen logs, before stopping at the Watering Hole Cafe for views of the Tapir Pool. 

  • 02:00 pm (The Cavern) 

Explore the Cavern, inspired by the Mulu Caves in Sarawak, Malaysia, where you can find Cave Racer snakes and Asian Forest Scorpions. End your cave exploring with a stunning photo at the Oculus. 

  • 02:30 pm (Rainforest Wild Shop) 

Complete your visit by buying some souvenirs at the Rainforest Wild Shop. 

Tips on attire and Things to carry 

  • Guests are encouraged to wear covered shoes and appropriate attire, as this is compulsory for participating in adventure activities. 

  • In case of rain, please bring rain gear, such as an umbrella, poncho, or raincoat. 

  • To spot wildlife up close, consider bringing binoculars. 

  • Water bottles are allowed. Refill stations are available at multiple locations inside the park.
